Pet Portrait Artist - Commission Joanna
The process to commission a pet portrait is very straight-forward. I love talking to people about their pet portraits, so drop me an email or telephone and we can chat. This personal service ensures that you get the work of art that you want.
Deciding on the portrait size
The size of the portrait is decided by choosing one of the four paper sizes given in the table below. However, I can paint to order and if there is something specific you require, then this can be readily discussed. Please note that your painting is completed with a professional mount, from my local framer.
The costs of a portrait
Portrait costs are goverened by the size of the portrait, medium and number of subjects, as shown in the table below. Again, if a specific portrait is required, then this can be arranged. . Also, there may be a need for posting the final painting, and this cost is added to the invoice. I always let you know the price and it usually falls between £6.50 and £18.50, dependant on whether it is framed or not, UK or International.

Sending in your own photographs
I mostly work from customers own photos, as often an animal is painted postumously. So, if you have your own photos, then please collect a number of the best shots. These can be digital images or printed images and it does not matter how old they are. If photographs are being sent via the post, they need to be marked with your name and address on the back. Use a pencil or soft-nibbed pen to avoid damaging them. All photograhs will be returned in the condition that they arrived in. All printed images should be sent by signed for/ registered post only to my studio address, which will be supplied on request.
Digital images can be emailed directly to me, please make sure the total size of a single email does not exceed 5Mb. Email address is joanna@pet-portrait-artist.net. Whether you send an email or post the photographs, please ensure that you always send through all your contact details. I will then get in touch straight away to discuss your portrait requirements.
Arranging a Photographic Session
If you feel you do not have many suitable photos, then it is possible to arrange for a site visit with a photographic session. This is in order that you can have a brand new set of digital photographs. Please note that as these photographic sessions are becoming so popluar. I will need to request that a contribution is made towards my time and petrol costs, if you live outside a 20 mile radius of Romsey, Hampshire. This cost is charged at 20p per mile and just £10 towards my time. All photos are saved onto a customised disc and given along with the painting.
